He Is an Indian YouTuber, streamer, and rapper hailing from Faridabad, India, is renowned for his roasting videos, comedic skits, and reactions to various online subjects on his channel, CarryMinati. Additionally, his gaming and live stream content can be found on his other channel, CarryisLive. As of August 2023, he boasts over 40 million subscribers, making him the most-subscribed individual YouTuber in Asia.
In May 2020, a controversial roast video titled “YouTube vs TikTok – The End” stirred up a dispute on YouTube. Unfortunately, the video was taken down by YouTube due to violations of the platform’s terms of service, specifically for reasons like cyberbullying and harassment.
Carry Minati , born on June 12, 1999, in Faridabad near New Delhi, went to Delhi Public School, Faridabad until 2016. At that point, he decided to drop out to focus on his YouTube career, even skipping his Class-XII Board examination due to nervousness about passing the economics exam. He eventually finished his schooling through long-distance learning. His older brother, Yash Nagar, is a music producer and composer. They’ve collaborated under the name Wily Frenzy.

People know him as CarryMinati, and he’s mostly busy making Hindi roasting and comedy videos, diss songs, and satirical parodies, alongside live gaming. All these videos are created by Nagar and his team right from his home in Faridabad.
Carry Minati started sharing videos on YouTube when he was just 10 years old. He kicked things off with football tutorial videos on his first channel, STeaLThFeArzZ. His main channel, which has been active since 2014, had different names over the years. Initially called Addicted A1 in 2014, it featured recorded video game footage along with Nagar’s reactions to the games. In 2015, he changed it to CarryDeol, where he played Counter-Strike: Global Offensive while mimicking Sunny Deol. Eventually, the channel got its final name, CarryMinati.
In May 2021, he made history by becoming the first Indian YouTuber to surpass 30 million subscribers, and by August 2023, he reached an even bigger milestone of 40 million subscribers. Not just in India, but he also holds the record for the highest number of subscribers in the entire Asia region.
Humanity of Carry
In the beginning of 2017, Nagar started another YouTube channel named CarryIsLive. On this channel, he does live-streams while playing video games. He’s used these live-streams to raise money for different causes, like helping victims of the Kerala floods in 2018, the cyclone Fani in Odisha, floods in Assam, Bihar, and supporting the families of the Shaheeds from the Pulwama attack in 2019. He also contributed to fundraising for the bushfires in Australia, COVID-19 relief, and assistance for the flooding in Assam and Bihar in 2020.
On June 4, Nagar organized a four-hour charity live-stream to support the victims of the 2023 Odisha train collision. The live-stream raised a total of INR 11,87,611.64, with ₹1.5 lakh coming from Nagar’s personal contributions. Every bit of the funds collected was donated to the Chief Minister’s relief funds of the Government of Odisha.

In 2019, Nagar made it to the 10th spot in Time magazine’s Next Generation Leaders of 2019. This is a yearly list that highlights ten young individuals making innovative strides in their careers.
By April 2020, Nagar found a place in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.
In 2021, he secured a spot in India Today’s High & Mighty list of the top 50 powerful personalities in India.
Come March 2022, Nagar was the focus of a cover story in Hindustan Times brunch.
